I saw part of this movie on TV when I was about 7 years old and thought it was quite exciting. I always wanted to see the whole thing again, and it only took me 35 years to find it again! Of course, seeing it through middle-aged eyes, I realize it isn't nearly as good as I remembered it, but it does have its moments. What the heck, it's free and worth it!

Decent enough film, the quality of the image is not too brilliant and it took me some time to realsie it was actually supposed to be in colour!

The most striking thing about this movie is that it is unbelievably ugly! The actors are ugly, the sets are ugly, the washed out, contrasty photography is ugly and everything else seen in the film is ugly. It doesn't get any better when it gets to the dialogue, which is mostly a collection of wisecracks strung together in semi-random order. Unfortunately the film-makers' operate under the delusion that their masterly script is witty and humorous so I hasten to assure the reader that it is neither. One gets used to the nonsense peddled as advanced science and technology in cheap sci-fi movies but this gem outdoes most of them. The first ten minutes of the film have enough howlers to keep anyone with even a modest scientific knack in laughs for the rest of the movie. All in all, this is a fairly typical example of the cheap Euro-English genre of science fiction made by job lots in the 60's. Enjoy!
