A serviceable creature feature about a bizarre Greek community and an ancient evil which dwells below their "idyllic" community. Said evil has been kept at bay for centuries but is then awakened by a perpetually drunk treasure seeker played by James Earl Jones (the voice of Darth Vader). Legend has it that only the sacrifice of a virgin will appease the beast... All is very silly and predictable, but is of novelty value because the movie keeps to the old maxim about cheap horror movies; if you cannot afford an expensive monster, keep it off screen for as long as possible. Those of you who enjoyed Dallas way-back-when, will also be amused to see former Miss USA, Deborah Shelton as the impending creature sacrifice. This movie features brief nudity, some bad language and some poor performances. You have been warned!

I agree with the other review, is a two star movie this one. Could be so much better but is a very thin story line & a rather awful monster. Has James Earl Ray in but rather an annoying performance from him. Not one to bother with.

OK, its a horrible movie, but then that's why I watch these things. Also, James Earl Ray was much more annoying, if that is the word, when he assasinated Martin Luther King Jr.

Blood Tide is a pretty awesome movie and I would also recommend a game called stumble guys online.
